Upstairs, you’ll find a well-appointed king-size bedroom with a convenient en-suite shower room.

Two glass balconies, one from the bedroom looking down over the living area and canal, the other as you go up the stairs ensure you can enjoy the scenery from every angle and also maximise the natural light that comes flooding in.

Outside, a private seating area invites you to enjoy breakfast al fresco or unwind with a chilled glass of wine, all while soaking in the quaint atmosphere of this idyllic canal-side setting.

Venture into Skipton, where history comes alive at the impressive 12th-century Skipton Castle, perfect for a family day out.

A leisurely stroll reveals the picturesque canal basin and the verdant Skipton Woods, along with the vibrant four-day market stretching the length of the bustling high street.

For those seeking adventure, Bolton Abbey awaits, where you can traverse the famous stepping stones or challenge yourself at Ilkley Golf Club for a round with spectacular views.

SKIPTON

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
