If you're into history, in particular industrial heritage, look no further than a holiday rental in Camborne. Unravel the story of mining at the King Edward Mine Museum and Mill, Camborne's amazing tin mine still almost intact after 100 years. Or at East Pool Mine near Redruth (National Trust), part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, where impressive beam engines are on display once powered by steam boilers made by local hero Trevithick. Enthusiasts might like to plan their cottage holiday to Camborne in April, a time the whole town celebrates the Trevithick Day Festival. Expect brass bands, children's dancing, live theatre, vintage vehicles, spluttering steam engines etc - fun for all the family! Or come in July for the Camborne Show, an agricultural show with heavy horses, dog show, prize cattle, ferret racing, vintage tractors, children's entertainment and lots more!
