Down at the coast, the sweeping bay takes in the neighbouring communities of Old Colwyn and Rhos-on-Sea, linked by a broad promenade and cycle track. This is a wonderful spot to 'take in the sea air', walk the dog, stroll with a pushchair or enjoy more vigorous exercise, with slipways to the sea for water sports including jet skiing. Relax on the beach. Enjoy an ice-cream. Look out for the ancient chapel of St. Trillo in Rhos. Try off-shore angling from the pier. Or test your skills on the fairways of three scenic courses, with wonderful sea views.
Children will love the Tarzan Trail Adventure Playground, not to mention the adorable snow leopards and cheeky chimps at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, an award-winning attraction situated high above town. Eirias Park is also worth a visit, a fifty-acre park with leisure centre, boating lake, giant rope spider's web and more.
And when you fancy a spot of sightseeing, both Llandudno and Conwy are a short drive away.
