"The cabin and site were very clean, tidy and pleasant enough for a weeks stay."

The welcome pack provided was a nice little touch with all your basics and the staff were all lovely and friendly! Being slightly picky but the cabin we stayed in did not mirror the interior lounge photos on the advert, we were expecting comfortable sofas for the evening but ours were not at all, maybe because we had dogs they had to use older more basic furniture? We understood that the decking areas are undergoing a makeover, they didn’t get to our cabin before our stay. It was a nice enough area though to sit out and had a gate which was great to keep the pets contained, not private at all but maybe they are going to consider this with the improvements as the cabin next to us had a new privacy screen to one side. You were not permitted to leave dogs in the cabin for any amount of time unless crated, can understand if they have had unruly dogs previously but did cause issues for us as the weather on some of the days was just too hot for them to be out in. Having a bar on site was one of the reasons for booking here as we don’t like to just sit in our accommodation in the evening. The bar area was lovely but the site quite small and they can’t seem to justify opening more than a few nights a week, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It was closed due to sickness on the first Saturday, Wednesday we managed to have a drink, Friday we went out for tea and rushed back to have a last night drink to find the bar had closed well over an hour early, presumably from lack of customers, which was very disappointing. Personally we found the site way too far from Combe Martin centre, there was apparently a 25min walk from part of the site but it was unlit and uphill coming back at night so we never bothered, going the main, country road way would be a lot longer and dangerous at night. We ended up spending a fortune on car parking as we had to drive our car to town every time and could never just enjoy a cheeky drink by the beach. If you are wanting a very quiet site, slightly out of town, not worried about doing anything in the evening and just having a base for your explorations then this site would be perfect. Make sure you listen out for the wolves howling from the local zoo!

"We actually stayed in L12 as the gentleman there suggested it was quieter ( cos patio work next to L7 and a better view."

He was very helpful. We liked the site and dog field next door. Very comfortable and nice & warm and plenty of hot water. I had hoped for a DVD player and could not access the full range of freeview channels on the TV but it did not distract from our stay. Doggy towels supplied so didn't need the ones we brought !

    "Beautifully clean inside."

The outside could do with a make over and all of the cobwebs brushed away. The gate also doesn’t lock easily unless you lift it. All that said we had a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone.

"Was looking for a dog friendly stay in Devon and found this on the Dog friendly cottages site at a very reasonable price for August."

A nice welcoming on arrival there was fresh milk in your fridge and tea bags and coffee to make a drink. The cabin was very clean and well maintained also with the decking and veranda outside and a closed of field was ideal for the dog, a very nice quiet location only 20min from Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. I would highly recommend and we are looking at going back next year

"The cabin was clean inside however the outside needed sweeping after they mowed the grass and covered the outside seating with grass."

It would be perfect with better placement of the outside area seating. The couple in the bungalow just sat staring at us so in the end we could not sit outside, better privacy would be perfect. Great location, good price, nice and quiet

    "The lodge was beautiful."

There was a welcome box with tea coffee sugar and other small essentials which was a lovely surprise. Surrounding area had amazing views. Staff were so friendly. Our only issue was lack of privacy as we were overlooked by chalets above where ours was and also opposite if they cared to look would see right into our chalet, so privacy was definitely an issue for us.but otherwise a lovely holiday.

"We had a fabulous stay and are already looking to book again!"

Everything was perfect and my children even coped without WiFi. The chalet was clean, comfortable and had everything you could need including some really lovely touches like the dog towel and Welcome Pack. An idyllic location and close to lots of great beaches and attractions. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, helpful and made us feel very at home.
