  • "Comfortable and peaceful location overlooking (through the trees) Combe Martin."

    The weather wasn't good enough to sit out on the veranda sadly but could watch the birds and squirrels from the sofa. Well-equipped and comfortable, would stay there again.

    Hello Alison, Glad you had a good couple of nights here. There is a footpath that leads you down to the village and to the sea front, which is shown on the map of your welcome folder, the walk is about 25 minutes. Hopefully look forward seeing you again. Property Owner

Elevated above the picturesque village, the park boasts views across Combe Martin towards the sea and surrounding woodland, creating a wonderful setting to unwind and breathe in the fresh coastal air.

Within walking distance of Combe Martin's sandy, dog-friendly beach, with its fascinating rockpools and opportunities for paddling, kayaking and paddleboarding, this welcoming retreat is ideal for families seeking a traditional North Devon seaside holiday.

Travel up to your new abode, taking in the tranquil woodland surroundings before stepping inside the open-plan living space.

Fully equipped for a self-catered stay, the lodge provides everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals, gather around the dining table, or relax after a day of exploring.

As evening falls, spend time on your private veranda, a lovely spot for wildlife watching and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, before retiring to one of two bedrooms, comprising a double and a twin.

COMBE MARTIN

Ilfracombe 5 miles; Woolacombe 12 miles; Barnstaple 13 miles.

At the point where the Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meet, is where you'll find Combe Martin. This small seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction to locals and visitors alike. Combe Martin has a very popular beach; the sheltered cove is perfect for rock-pooling and it is a popular paddle boarding bay. The village also boasts its own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park! Combe Martin is home to the historic Earl of Rone festival held in May each year and has an annual carnival in August. This is an ideal base for touring, and discovering the delights of North Devon, with Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple all within easy reach. There are also numerous National Trust properties and gardens waiting to be enjoyed. Surfing at Woolacombe is among the best in the South West, while the South West coastal path passes within a mile. Combe Martin is a great base for enjoying a seaside getaway, with something to keep everybody entertained.
