  • "Loved this property."

Loads of space with great rooftop decking area. We took our elderly mother so we wanted to be near to everything. We also took our bikes which we stored easily in the downstairs hallway. Being on the high street will naturally mean it’s a bit noisy at night. Didn’t bother us as we sleep with ear plugs anyway. Would definitely book again.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we're really glad you all enjoyed your stay with us! We look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

    Lovely welcome pack on arrival

It's also lovely to know that the welcome pack was appreciated. We were delighted to welcome you back after your original stay, and it's fantastic that you've chosen to return again this year. There can be no greater compliment than guests wanting to come back time and time again. Since your first visit, the property has undergone a full refurbishment and transformation, and we're incredibly proud of what it offers today. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you again very soon. Property Owner

  • "Garden area disappointing."

All furniture broken and dangerous. Cupboards that could provide storage cluttered, being used by owner to store left over decorating materials and bits and bobs. Front door needs to be hung other way, nightmare for families accessing and egressing together. A bit tatty, broken window, awful blinds in kitchen, cupboards wrapped and now peeling off. Strong smell of damp. Very noisy at night.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback following your stay. We are sorry to hear that aspects of the property fell short of your expectations at the time. We appreciate your comments regarding the garden furniture, storage, general condition of the property and maintenance issues. Feedback such as yours has been invaluable in helping us identify areas that needed improvement. Since your visit, the property has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment and refit. The garden and outdoor areas have been refreshed, furniture replaced, maintenance issues addressed, and the interior has been extensively updated throughout. We have invested significantly in improving both the appearance and functionality of the property and are now extremely proud of the standard it offers our guests. We would like to thank you for taking the time to highlight these issues, as guest feedback has played an important role in shaping the improvements we have made. We would be delighted to welcome you back in the future so that you can experience the changes for yourself and see just how much the property has evolved. • "We enjoyed our stay overall and the property has great potential but if we visit the area again we would look for an alternative."

The layout of the property is tricky with the main bathroom downstairs. The upstairs toilet is incredibly noises when you flush so didn’t want to use it when kids were sleeping. The accommodation is nicely decorated but all a bit rough around the edges with some mould/damp in the bathroom, broken windows that haven’t been repaired and everything felt in need of a deep clean. A few small extras that would make a difference - hand towels in the bathrooms, something to play with in the ‘games room’ upstairs, a bbq. The property is very central which while being convenient turned out to be very noisy at night. We weren’t able to find nearby parking and consistently had to park 5 minutes walk away up a very steep hill. Great selection of board games for older kids/grown ups. Nice window seats to people watch the high street and view towards the sea. Thank you for the welcome goodies!

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed and balanced review. We were pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall. We also greatly appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the layout, maintenance issues, cleanliness, bathroom facilities, and additional amenities. Comments such as yours have been invaluable in helping us identify where improvements were needed and where we could further enhance the guest experience. Since your stay, the property has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment and refit. Maintenance issues highlighted in earlier reviews have been addressed, the accommodation has been refreshed throughout, and significant investment has been made to improve both the comfort and overall standard of the property. We have also carefully considered guest suggestions regarding the facilities and equipment provided. Whilst we cannot change the property's central location, which many guests enjoy for its convenience and proximity to local amenities, we have worked hard to ensure the accommodation itself now offers a much-improved experience. Thank you again for your thoughtful comments. Feedback from guests like yourselves has played an important role in shaping the improvements we have made, and we would be delighted to welcome you back in the future so that you can experience the transformation for yourselves and see how much the property has changed. • "A centrally located property with great potential."

No allocated parking, double yellow lines outside. We had to park 5 mins away up a very steep hill. A bar directly opposite caused a lot of noise until the early hours as revellers spilled out onto the street drinking & socialising. Garden access is from top of steep stairs, with further stairs once outside. Not suitable for anybody elderly or infirm or for young children. The garden furniture was all broken, with metal prongs dangerously sticking out. The garden area had not had a clean for a long time. The BBQ was non existent. Broken windows, a bedroom & toilet door that wouldn't shut, mould in bathroom, dirty utensils among other signs of neglect. Window blinds that dont fit or work. Would definitely benefit from a lot of general maintenance & a deep clean.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We're sorry that the property didn't live up to its potential during your stay. Your comments highlighted a number of areas that needed attention at the time, particularly around maintenance, cleanliness and the outdoor space. Feedback like yours helped us identify where improvements were needed, and we've since invested heavily in updating the property throughout. Today, the property is very different from the one you experienced. The issues raised in earlier reviews have been addressed, and we're proud of how the property has evolved over the last few years. Thank you again for your honest and constructive comments. We'd be delighted to welcome you back in the future and give you the opportunity to see the improvements for yourself. Property Owner

  • "A well-presented and well-equipped apartment in a perfect location right in the centre of Swanage."

The apartment has a slightly unusual layout with the bathroom downstairs next to the front door which might not suit some. The host was easily contactable and very helpful with the couple of minor issues we encountered. Personally, I feel it would be improved with curtains/blinds which block out the morning sun as I woke early each morning.

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
