"It was a pleasure to turn the key enter the lodge and find it is beautiful , so clean and fresh."

The sofas are so so comfy, there was plenty of crockery and cutlery. Besides a microwave there is also an air fryer, there is a family sized fridge/freezer. The carpets were heaven to walk on and so clean. The bedrooms are well equipped and extra bedding should you require it. Also there is a fan should you need it. The shower is up to date with beautiful tiles. The lodge was ultra clean you will not be disappointed it was a pleasure to stay here

"We had a wonderful stay and the lodge was perfect."

"Magical to the MAX in EVERY WAY, inside and out it just oozed comfort and luxury and in the most breathtaking surroundings imaginable."

Everything you could imagine want or need for a self catering holiday is there for you. We stayed for my Wife's 60th Birthday so a lot was riding on it, only 60 once lol and Swifts Reach Lodge didn't disappoint. We hope to be back soon. Warmest Regards and a huge Thankyou to the owners. "We've stayed a few times at Limefitt and Swifts Reach is probably the best lodge we've stayed in in."

The lodge has everything you might need and is very clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and with a lovely homely feel. The Lodge had a smart TV and good wi fi which not all lodges have as we've learnt from experience! Would definitely stay again.

"Swifts Reach Lodge is one of the mist most comfortable we have stayed in."

It's spacious, and furnished to a high standard. The location is quiet and sits amongst some beautiful lake district scenery. The site itself is well run by friendly staff who keep it all looking good.

"Wow, what a fabulous lodge, this truly felt like home from home with all the items you'd have at your own home."

The lodge is beautifully decorated and furnished and the hosts were lovely and helpful. The setting is just breathtaking on a wonderful site with a lovely pub. We genuinely feel this lodge has the perfect location being close to the pub but not too close that you hear any noise, and it's elevated position makes the most of the surroundings. This is not your typical Parkdean site! Having recently had spinal surgery I was nervous about the comfort of the sofas and bed but there was nothing to worry about; it was the best we've ever stayed at. We'll definitely look to come back.

"Fantastic lodge!"

Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean. We have stayed at Limefitt many times over the past 12 years and this is by far the best lodge we have stayed in. Views are beautiful from the decking and at the dining table over breakfast. We hope to be back in Spring.

"The property was spotlessly clean and the air freshers mentioned in other reviews were at the right level for us."

The lodge was very well equipped - many of the items in the kitchen hadn't been used - we might have liked to see bigger pans (for a family of four) and a hairdryer - but these didn't affect our holiday. We've stopped on Limefitt many times (going back around 17/18 years) and this is one of the nicest lodges we've stopped in. The location was good - quiet and with a good view. Note there is a guest profile for Netflix but you'll need your own logins to use the other streaming services (again not a problem for us) - Wifi was a Vodafone mobile router which worked with the smart tv and was sufficient. I'd recommend this property without hesitation.

"We had a fantastic holiday and got the weather to go with it, there was everything and more in the lodge that was required, the only draw back for us was the abundance of air fresheners we did actually have to remove them as we are allergy sufferers we found 11 in total , obviously put them back in lodge when we left , but otherwise had good holiday."

The property

Swifts Reach Lodge is a single-storey lodge situated in Limefitt Holiday Park in Cumbria near the delightful town of Windermere.

Ideal for a family getaway, this lodge is an endearing place to call your home-away-from-home as you step away from the norms of everyday life and enjoy serene rolling countryside views.

Once you walk up some steps, you can enter the lodge to find an open-plan living space for all the family to enjoy, with two sofas providing a comfortable space to to flick through the Smart TV, which has access to Netlix, Disney Plus and Amazon.

You will also find a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area and breakfast bar with lovely fell views.

There is one king-size bedroom with an en suite and a walk-in wardrobe, along with a twin room.

Outside, there is space for everyone to enjoy the outdoors with a private decking area and furniture with countryside views.

You will find a pub on site serving food along with a small shop at reception, plus a children's adventure playground and picnic areas.

Be sure to venture out the short distance to either The Haybarn Inn or The Queen’s Head for a drink or a meal, whilst shops are a brief drive away for any essentials or any sweet treats to spoil yourself with on holiday.

Once you decide to explore the sights, Windermere should be calling your name, as Brockhole on Windermere is full of adrenaline-filled activities for the children, whilst you can also take a boat trip on the picturesque Lake Windermere once you’re done before strolling through the picturesque town to pick out your next meal, with several options available to you.

Bowness-on-Windermere has The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, which is a great day out for kids as it is a dedicated children’s museum.

Once they’ve had their fun, be sure to check out the National Trust Claife Viewing Station for a pleasant walk along the shore.

Of course, if you’re looking to go further afield, there is nowhere more perfect for a day of magnificent strolls with beautiful scenery than The Lake District National Park, which also has the Lakes Aquarium to captivate little ones' minds with some sea creatures.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge.
