  • "We have just returned from an amazing week staying in this superb house."

It was one of the very best houses we have ever stayed in - and we have stayed in several over the years. It was perfect for our 3-generational family holiday - with 8 of us ranging from 8 - 78! When we arrived we discovered not only milk in the fridge but also a tin of home-made cream cakes for each of us, which was such a lovely welcome. We met Dilys who made sure we were comfortable and that we could contact her if we needed to, which was helpful. The house was immaculately clean, the beds were really comfortable and the kitchen-diner and lounge were perfect, with a very well equipped kitchen, large fridge-freezer, lovely long wooden dining table and 3 very comfortable settees in the lounge. The addition of a pool table in the converted garage and a 'snug' was much appreciated. The outside area had two sets of tables and chairs, which were ideal for chilling out in the lovely warm weather. We really can't praise the house highly enough and are very grateful for Dilys' thoughtfulness in ensuring the house was really well equipped and arranged, so that guests can enjoy a really relaxing holiday. We loved the location too - all we could see were country lanes, fields, sheep and cows, which was ideal for us urban dwellers! There were lovely, easy walks from the house, which the children enjoyed as well as the adults and Llanwrst is within very easy reach. We found a great cafe on the sqare, a super deli selling delicious Welsh cheese, beer etc. and playing fields near the river. The house is ideally situated for trips out to Conway, Llandudno, etc etc too. We all had a wonderful holiday and would love to go back to this super house. Thank you, Dilys!

Dilys’ home made cup cakes on arrival were a real treat too! No problem with Wi-Fi, which meant for happy kids. We will definitely be booking again.

  • "A beautiful house, very spacious and beautifully furnished."

The view over rolling hills is stunning. The interior of the house is light and modern. We loved staying there and my grandsons thought the pool table was wonderful. Close to Conwy and Llandudno as well as a variety of adventure parks. Absolutely first class. The wifi was patchy one day and the owner came very quickly to sort it out - very friendly lady.

This cottage was great with all rooms more than a generous size. Wifi all but didn’t work though and no signal on phones due to location which in our case was great. Definitely recommend this place

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are delighted that you had a wonderful time away at Ochr Y Garth, however, we are sorry to hear about the intermittent Wi-Fi at the accommodation during your stay. We have looked into this matter and now Ochr Y Garth has its own Wi-Fi facilities where the speed and sufficiency has now improved significantly. We hope to see you here again very soon. • "This is a beautiful property and we had a fantastic time."

Cannot fault the house or location. Very comfortable and the pictures do not so this place justice. We would definitely return to this property but it was just a bit far out for us as we prefer to be more central. Things you need to be aware of - this place is very remote and to access you have to navigate single lane country roads. We did not have any phone signal at all. Our only means of communication with the outside world was WiFi which didn’t work for the first three days. However we reported to the host and this was fixed within three days. Brilliant place - highly recommend - consider how remote it is but tbh once the WiFi was fixed we loved it!

The cottage was spacious and comfortable and had every amenity we could have wished for. The views were wonderful and we were even able to watch baby lambs being born in the field beside us. Fabulous!! The cottage is secluded and private but is perfectly located for all the holiday resorts and sights in Northern Wales and near enough to the local town to be able to nip to the chip shop when we came back in the evening too tired to start cooking. What more could we have asked for??

The photos do not do this place justice. Very clean and well presented and in an quiet location. Perfect for climbing Snowdon! Only issues we had were with the WiFi, we couldn't connect, and make sure you space showers out so the hot water doesn't run out!
