  • "The largest and most luxurious property we've ever rented and perfect for a large family gathering with dogs."

Kitchen \ living area is lovely (Quooker tap with instant boiling water is great), balconies provide amazing views and the hot tub was enjoyed more than once. The bedrooms are really nice with 3 huge walk in showers plus an awesome bath in total. Ground floor has lots of space and utility room with washer \ drier was very handy with little ones. The location couldn't be better with beach and playground just outside the door, pub next door but one and a One Stop shop 30s walk away outside the back gate. Easy walk to the busy side with the pier and shops\amusements. All the takeaways you could wish for available for delivery and large retail parks with all the big shops. Flat and easy to navigate area with optional hills if you desire. We drove up Great Orme a couple of times to take in the stunning views and I walked up Little Orme to bag the trig there and take photo's back toward Great Orme. Also had a lovely day-trip to Barmouth, driving right through the middle of the national park. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and I'd love to return one day.

The open plan living space worked really well. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the cooker tap. I found the bed very comfortable. The views from the balconies are superb. It's a great place for a family holiday

Hi Judith, Many thanks for choosing The Dunes for your holiday. Appreciate your comments, we hope to see you again. We are in the process of putting inside Pac-Man amusement size gaming machines and an external pool table to the rear to increase the facilities. Best wishes Evan (Owner) Property Owner

No welcome pack of any info. No garen table/chairs - arrived Wed. Soap dispensers in bathrooms, kitchen and utility practically empty. No handy towel rail, soap dispenser or grab rails near bath. Slipped in bath to lean across. No heated towel rail - Owner said they are via the stats - we never felt heat. Kitchen window out of alignment would not close. (Owner) and (Director/Handyman) arrived Mon. Mon Handyman realigned two wardrobe runners. Get appeared to fix the non lockable lounge patio door, but it was still awkward to lock and still remains hit and miss on being able to lock the patio doors. Handyman wiggled the window frame and pulled it shut. He said he would return to fix non closing window when the house was vacant do he can remove the glass sections. My father found the large triangle window glaring with the sun with no option to black it out. House felt bland, all cosmetic, no homely feel. When discussing house, Owner said the house was put on the market for £880k. He said they chose no bath hand rails and less is more approach to make the property feel less cluttered and modern. Personally, after paying £2.3k on a house, I would expect all the little touches. Without being rude: No welcome pack (Owner looked in cupboard and only found installation booklets). No instructions re no kettle/Quooker Tap. No instructions re Hot Tub. No instructions re heating. No little things, Salt, plash of Vinegar, little soap in the dispensers. Broken sliding doors - 2 x off runners. Patio doors 1 x not locking and 1 x awkward to lock. Me having to weed the garden. Personal visit and repairs on Mon. Garden table and chairs promised delivery Tue, arrived Wed. Didn't like reading - you have to retrieve all towels, bed sheets and duvet covers and place them in the utility. Lovely house, lovely holiday. Lovely setting. Need to rethink the front garden bushes. When getting in/out of car, you walk into them and the car door Brushes them. I'll placed in my opinion. All just appeared cheap skate and non value for money.

Hi Lydia, Appreciate your comments and meeting you at the property and sorting any issues you had. The property is superbly fitted out and deserves 5*. Can’t please everyone but glad you loved the house and location. Best wishes Evan (Owner) Property Owner

First family holiday in many years and couldn't have picked a better place. Lovely sea views. Very clean and comfortable. Few issues with the hot tub but that was minor compared to the property and location. Our 3 dogs loved all the space.

  • "Great holiday and lovely house opposite the beach."

A small garden though. Lovely walks in the area. We even climbed the Orme. The kids enjoyed the activities on the Orme. Unfortunately there is no folder in the property with suggestions or ideas of where to go or do. Also we didn’t know which day to put the bin out! Small niggles: the ensuite had no hot water and the radiator remained cold. The bathroom on the top floor has a leaky tap. The downstairs bedroom has a heating pump outside which is very noisy at night and keeps you awake.

Hi Andre, Many thanks for your review and rating, the issues you mentioned have been addressed. House manual file is in the unit in the dining area sorry. We will leave it on the worktop from now on. Hope to see you again. Best wishes Evan (Owner) Property Owner

  • "Great week away spent at the Dunes."

Property was very good, location brilliant and views superb. Well worth the visit to the ski centre, all three generations enjoyed the toboggan run. Did the tram up the mountain but the dogs didn't like it so walked back down, but it made the pint in the King's Head at the bottom all the better. Used our National Trust membership as well (spoilt for choice). Just a couple of niggles which in no way spoilt our stay but need addressing for future guests, hot water in upstairs en suite basin non existent and the cushions on the balcony chairs were very wet and green algae had started to appear. We did dry them out but had no means of cleaning them. I would suggest that if the property is vacant for a period that they be brought inside. If we are up in that area again, I would not hesitate in looking at the Dunes again. Thanks Dave from Cornwall.

Hi Dave, Many thanks for your great review and thanks for your booking. your comments re the hot water and cushions will be addressed. Hope to see you again. Best wishes, Evan (Owner). Property Owner

The house is immaculate, in a great location and would highly recommend. There is everything you need in the living/dining area. The beds are extremely comfortable and all bathrooms immaculate. The garden is well kept and we could let the dogs out knowing they were safe. Hot tub is an added bonus, as is the EV charger. We had to contact the owner on one occasion and he responded quickly and came over to us to help resolve our minor query. We would definitely return.

  • "The Dunes Absolutely perfect place to stay!"

Absolutely loved our stay in The Dunes. Wowed by the quality of the furnishings and decor, and the views are breathtaking. Situated right by the sea, the views from the balconies over the waves and towards the mountains while we sipped our wine in front of the fire was amazing. The beds were super comfy so we had the best sleep. The bathrooms and en-suites are amazing and the whole place was stunningly clean. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and the dining plates and crockery are gorgeous. The hot tub was a bonus and the towels they supplied were soft and fluffy. The welcome gifts and the slippers were a lovely gesture and there was even gifts for our dog! The walks along the beach and up the Great Orme are right from the doorstep and the main town was a short walk down a lovely wide avenue. We had a tasty Sunday lunch at the local pub called the Lily which is also on the West Shore front and the little local supermarket is just around the corner which was really handy. There is parking to the front of the property and an electrical charger which we made use of as we visited Betws y Coed and Conwy during our stay. The back garden is secure with high fences so I didn’t worry about letting our dog out there. We will definitely be staying there again and can’t recommend it enough.

  • "The Dunes is perfectly situated to explore North Wales."

It is located right opposite the beach and the balcony that leads from the lounge lends itself to being able to sit in the comfy egg chairs with a coffee or glass of wine and take in the sunsets and views. The property is brand new and is fitted throughout inside with good quality furnishings. It is immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding and towels supplied were also of good quality. We visited the local sites like The Great Orme but also we easily visited Snowdonia, Conway Castle and Portmerion. Locally there are numerous places to eat and drink which are within walking distance of the house. This is an ideal base to either explore or stay in Llandudno which ever your preference maybe.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
