“We had a wonderful, and much needed, holiday in Whitby staying at Herons Reach in the Autumn.”
After the year we had, intending to go abroad, we decided it was safer to have a "staycation" and we weren't disappointed. The location has exactly like in the photos with a picturesque view of the old rail viaduct crossing the River Esk. The viaduct makes a lovely, and deceptively quick, walking route into the main town. In the opposite direction, it is the quickest route by foot to Robin Hood's Bay.

The main thing that is not accurate about the description of the accommodation is that apparently it doesn't have the internet. It does, or at least it did for us, with wifi code in the handy book you get to make the most of your stay.
Although the evening's were drawing in, we were lucky with the weather, as such, we could sit outside on the balcony at night, and the stars were so clear. And as a nice little extra, on the river, we did see 2 Herons in our time there.
