  • "The property was very well situated for a holiday in Northumberland."

Close to amenities yet quiet and rural. We were told that there wouldn’t be any towels provided but there actually each bed had a bath and hand towel. So I needed to have bothered packing any from home, maybe the listing could be updated. One negative is that the bathrooms probably need updating. The main bathroom bath has no shower over it which most people tend to like these days. The en-suite shower room was equipped with a rather weak Mira electric shower. Also the pipe work was quite noisy after using the taps or loo flush in the main bathroom. The kitchen was great, very clean and well equipped. We will definitely return.

  • "The toilet seat in the en-suite bathroom needs adjustment - it will not stay up on its own, needing to be held up."

It was an inconvenience that only one set of keys was provided, given that the property can accommodate six people it is not reasonable to expect them all to be departing and arriving back at the same time. My party had to resort to hiding the keys in the nearby vegetation - an unsatisfactory solution.
