The Loft & Terrace
What’s to love: Ethical, locally sourced produce cooked well; that’s what you can expect at The Loft & Terrace, a contemporary restaurant set in the heart of St Ives’ historic Artist’s Quarter. The chefs here are fiercely passionate about the food they produce, and often forage the coast for ingredients that will help diversify the menu. They’re also ethically-minded, using only line-caught fish, non-dredged shellfish and meat from local farms to create flavourful and interesting dishes.

What’s to love: Despite no-end of TripAdvisor reviews hailing Black Rock as the fine dining jewel of St Ives, the restaurant’s owners happen to disagree. Instead, they say their main focus is on producing rustic, vibrant cuisine at fair and affordable prices. Whatever their philosophy, The Black Rock is without question one of the finest places to eat in St Ives, with a limited selection of high-quality, thoughtful dishes including Trevaskis Farm pork belly, Intense beetroot risotto and Sri Lankan seafood curry. Visit as soon as possible.
