How many beaches does Anglesey have?

In total, Anglesey boasts just over 40 beaches dotted across its beautiful 125-mile coastline. The island also boasts a fantastic coastal trail, so if you’re feeling up to the challenge, you could even experience all of them in one trip (if you have the time!).

How many Blue Flag Award beaches are on Anglesey?

Benllech, Church Bay, Llanddona, Porth Dafarch, Llanddwyn and Trearddur Bay all boast their very own Blue Flags, which are awarded for both water quality and environmental cleanliness.

What is the most beautiful beach on the Isle of Anglesey?

Whilst this is subjective, beaches like Benllech and Newborough (Llanddwyn) are often touted as being two of the most beautiful beaches on the island… which also makes them two of the busiest during the spring and summer!

8 Exceptional Anglesey Beaches

Offering impeccable views of the Snowdonia mountain range, this beautiful beach is backed by a network of sand dunes and a gigantic forest that was first planted back in the late 1940s. With a large car park situated right next to the beach, we’d highly recommend taking a wander around the forest trail first before heading onto the beach.

Whilst here, why not wander over to the historic Llanddwyn Island during low tide, one of the most photographed locations anywhere in in the country?

Not only that, but with the A5025 running through Benllech, it’s also where many day-trippers come from across the island and North Wales to enjoy an afternoon in the sunshine. Given that it’s one of the best beaches in North Wales, we’re not surprised that people travel to visit it.
