The property

Tewennow Cottage is positioned beautifully next to the sand dunes, it Is hidden away along a small scenic lane in the quaint hamlet of Ellenglaze.

Positioned in the countryside, it is an ideal location for a couples to get away from a busy lifestyle and enjoy the magic that Cornwall has to offer.

As soon as you enter the cottage you should feel immediately at home, with the welcoming environment complimented by the character and warmth and the stone fireplace gives it that little bit extra.

The exposed beams and the sash windows within the thick white-washed walls give it that extra charm.

The property has an extremely comfortable interior and is arranged with a sitting room/diner as well as a kitchen on the ground floor.

On the first floor there is a spacious bedroom with a king size bed and an en-suite bathroom which contains a bath and a separate shower cubicle.

The cottage is laid out with a garden at the rear with a split level patio which can serve as a delightful sun-trap in the best of weather, which can be a perfect place to dine with your partner with a glass of wine.

There is a convenience store located a short walk away or a longer hike will take you to the Smugglers Den, which is a popular pub/restaurant with a wide selection of local ales and hearty meals.

For anyone looking for that little bit extra the golden beach and rugged coastal footpath along with the 18 hole links golf course at Holywell Bay (which was voted as the fourth best view in the country) are all within close walking distance.

Tewennow Cottage is blessed with being closely located to some of the best beaches in the county and these being the centre for surfers and watersports enthusiasts, it is only two miles from Crantock beach, 5 miles from Newquay and 8 miles to Perranporth, Tewennow is the perfect romantic destination all year round.

Newquay is the home of the UK’s surf scene, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a watersports paradise. The town, with its zoo, sea life centre and varied selection of restaurants and pubs, also promises a holiday to remember. For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within 45 minutes. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is around an hour's drive or a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
