Hi! I'm Maia, and I have been working in UK travel since January 2024. I’m originally from Chester, and I studied Journalism at university in Liverpool.
Growing up, I spent most of my summers on my mum’s narrowboats, cruising along the canals in Shropshire and Falkirk. I loved discovering new pubs along the way and admiring the stunning countryside views, it honestly felt like having a holiday home on water! I also spent a lot of time in Cornwall, where my aunty went to university, and I totally fell in love with the place and the beaches.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at the gym or out hiking. My favourite spots to explore are the Lake District National Park and Eryri National Park, both perfect for long walks and taking in the breathtaking scenery. Oh, and I’m also a big fan of discovering new food spots too!
