This spacious yet cosy Grade II listed, semi-detached holiday home is a self-contained apartment above the owner’s home, situated in the picturesque village of Boscastle, on the rugged North Cornish Coast, providing a perfect base for touring this spectacular area.
The minute you arrive at Pillar House you’ll realise you’ve booked somewhere special.
As you go through the original door, made in 1790, you begin to sense the history that makes this house so unique, with its high Georgian ceilings and grand wooden floors.
The kitchen/diner is the first room to greet you before entering the magnificent sitting room.
From here you can head out onto the patio and marvel at the stunning views that stretch down the valley.
Upstairs is where you will find the bathroom and the three bedrooms, all with wonderful high brass beds.
Boscastle lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is celebrated for its natural picture postcard harbour.
An excellent selection of pubs, restaurants and takeaways are all within a moment’s walk of Pillar House as well as the village's individual shops.
Take a boat trip from the harbour to tour the exceptional coastline, and depending on the time of year, you might be lucky enough to spot seals, razorbills, guillemots and puffins.
For the keen fishermen in your party, boat tours will take you 5 miles offshore to enjoy unique wreck fishing.
Ramblers will enjoy the challenge of the 7-mile walk between Boscastle and Tintagel, considered by many to be amongst the finest stretch of the entire South West Coast Path.

A perfect Cornish coastal village, the road through Boscastle runs down to the small harbour at the bottom of the hill. The quaint village shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, make this an ever popular visitor destination. Spectacular cliff tops, rocky coves, wild surf, open fields and rich wildlife characterise this beautiful area. The coastal footpath passes through some of Britain’s most rugged and spectacular coastal scenery. The sandy beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are all within 5 miles and the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath are within easy driving distance. Close at hand lie the delights of Tintagel, swathed in the legends of King Arthur, several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
