“The property has been modernised to a high standard.”

It was a bonus to have a lovely view from the lounge & balcony of the sea & the wonderful sunsets. I think if there was an extra bed in the single room it would easily accommodate 6 people. There was no mention that there was no toilet in the biggest bathroom, however there were 2 other toilets on separate floors. ...

The master bedroom could have done with a mirror above the chest of drawers as this was the area I used as a dressing table. A couple of hooks on the bathroom door would have been handy as there was nowhere to put clothes, dressing gowns etc. We all enjoyed the house & we had a great holiday.

The property

Sitting in a prominent position in the bustling harbourside town of Weymouth in Dorset is Fleet View House, a bright and airy, split-level holiday home boasting tremendous views and handy off-road parking.

Suited to families, the property is ideally located within a short drive of local amenities and beaches, while being within easy reach of surrounding towns and villages.

Utilise the kitchen on the first floor and whip up a delicious breakfast for your loved ones to enjoy at the dining table as you plan your events for the day.

When you return, be sure to snuggle up and watch a film for the evening on the TV, or perhaps if the day is still light, throw open the patio doors and enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony, whilst watching the sunset across the sea.

Back on the ground floor you will find an intimate double bedroom, with a bright and airy bunk bedroom resting on the first-floor, ideal for younger families or friends sharing, with the master double bedroom on the second floor.

Finishing off the interior of the dwelling is two bathrooms and a cloakroom, all on different levels meaning you won't be queuing when it is time to freshen up and head out.

In the summer months, take advantage of the patio area, which boasts a stylish corner sofa and table, perfect for dining alfresco or even just escaping for a cup of tea.

When you don't feel like cooking, take a short drive into the town centre to find an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from including fresh seafood from Sea Beats or enjoy a lovely view from Crab House Café.

While you are out and about, take a trip to the historic Sandsfoot Castle, magnificent castle ruins with unbeatable views over the sea.

Sticking with historical architecture, Nothe Fort and gardens are within walking distance and provide a relaxing day out for all ages, before stopping at Weymouth Museum to immerse yourself into the local history.

Just a short drive away is the dramatic Isle of Portland, home to the towering Portland Castle and the charming Little Beach which is perfect for a day out with the children.

Younger guests may also enjoy a day at the nearby Dorset Teddy Bear Museum before continuing to the glorious Kingston Maurward Animal Park and Gardens, a superb manor home with delightful farm animals you can get up-close and personal with.

Animal lovers can also venture slightly further afield to Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre to learn about the fascinating conservation efforts within yet another beautiful setting.

Whatever your style of adventure, choose Fleet View House as your base for a fantastic family holiday.
