The property

Goodwick 1 mile.

Situated on the outskirts of the delightful village of Llanwnda, a mile from the coastal village of Goodwick, is this traditionally-styled cottage.

Step on through the red stable door and you will be greeted to a cosy sitting room where you can snuggle up beside the woodburner and enjoy a family DVD.

The kitchen houses a selection of appliances needed to cook up a storm for the whole family, whilst the dining area provides ample space for family gatherings over a glass of wine.

Accessed by a spiral staircase, discover the mezzanine double bedroom resting above the sitting area, while there is also a twin bedroom on the ground floor which is ideal for children.

From these rooms you will be able to catch some rural views of the Welsh countryside, which will be much appreciated first thing in the morning.

Outside you are treated to a lovely enclosed garden with lawn and patio areas so you can soak up the sun from the furniture whilst your pets run and stretch their legs.

From Trefechan Wen Cottage you are not far from the beautiful coastline where several sandy beaches and stunning coastal paths are worth exploring.

If you are staying in the summer months, look out for the annual international music festival in Fishguard, attracting a large number of tourists every year.

The seaside town of Newport is 20-minute drive and offers a range of dog-friendly pubs, cafés and restaurants, so you can enjoy a meal out without leaving your four-legged friend behind.

Take a trip to the smallest city in the UK, St Davids, with its magnificent cathedral and Porthclais Harbour, or tackle the Iron Age mountains of Mynydd Carningli if you’re a keen hiker.

Trefechan Wen Cottage is an inviting retreat to this lovely part of Wales.

Goodwick is a picturesque coastal village overlooking the bay where the twice daily ferries run to Ireland. With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable. Historic castles, theme parks, art galleries, kayaking, coasteering and boat trips to the islands are all nearby and St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral is a short drive away, while the coastal town of Newport, with its fantastic beach, is closer still.
