Gogarth North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve
Set at a steep angle on the western side of the Great Orme, Gogarth North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve may seem exposed to the elements, but its angle keeps it relatively protected.
Made up of grassland with patches of prickly gorse and blackthorn scrub, Gogarth provides a habitat for a range of wildlife species. Choughs and the rare silver-studded blue butterfly can both be found fluttering around here.
To help maintain the balance, sheep and goats also graze here. Wildflowers found here include common and hoary rock-rose, wild thyme, pyramidal orchid, eyebright, carline thistle and tormentil.
