Aberffraw Beach

This unspoilt, sandy beach is one of Anglesey’s best-kept secrets.

This picturesque stretch of sand is rarely crowded and welcomes dogs year-round, so it’s a fantastic walking spot.

Begin your walk in Aberffraw village and head towards the dunes before descending to the beach. The dunes are a Special Area of Conservation and attract an abundance of wildlife including plants, insects, and sea holly.

The area also supports the feeding of chough and skylark, making it a must-visit for bird watchers. After some time spent exploring the beach, head back to the village where you’ll find a café and visitor centre at Llys Llewelyn.

Aberffraw Beach is a lovely day out…
