Devichoys Wood Nature Reserve
This 40-acre site dates back to at least the 1650s and features gnarled, twisted stems of sessile oak – evidence of historical coppicing. Beech trees, holly and rowan can also be found here along with woodland plants and fungi.
Visitors can spot butterflies, birds and small mammals as they walk the two-waymarked circular trails. Dogs are welcome on leads.
