Giggle Alley
Take the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway to Irton Road Station and walk the short distance to Giggle Alley. This woodland spot boasts a wide variety of tree species as well as badgers, red squirrels, and roe deer. There is also a fascinating Japanese Garden with small bridges, ideal for little ones, and ponds.
Giggle Alley is easily walkable for children and there are plenty of spots ideal for hide and seek or scrambling over small rocks. The trees here are particularly beautiful in the autumn when the leaves turn rust and red.
