Directions

  1. Begin at the Pont ar Daf car park, heading south to join the footpath. Go through the kissing gate and over the footbridge across the river.
  2. Take the footpath uphill towards Bwlch Duwynt.
  3. Follow the footpath bearing slightly left to reach the southern slopes of Corn Du. Continue to reach the saddle between Corn Du and Pen y Fan.
  4. Carry along the footpath to reach the summit of Pen y Fan.
  5. To return, retrace your steps back to the saddle and bear right.
  6. Follow the footpath to reach the summit of Corn Du, before taking the footpath down to the right along the ridge.
  7. Descend to the north of Corn Du, climbing down the steep section to reach the path.
  8. Retrace your steps from the obelisk back to where the path splits.
  9. Follow the path down to the stream (Blaen Taf Fawr) and once past it head upwards towards the gate on Y Gyrn.
  10. Follow the path to finally descend towards Storey Arms. Take the tarmacked footpath in front of the Education Centre.
  11. Take the kissing gate back through to the car park.
