You can reach the Scafell Pike summit on this circular walking trail that leads from Wasdale Head Car Park through dramatic crags and rocky terrain.

It is a straightforward yet challenging route so sturdy footwear that protects your ankles is advised. The weather can also change quickly, so be sure to pack layers, waterproofs, food and water.

Scafell Pike itself reaches 978m and is the most prominent mountain in England, taking around 3-4 hours to climb. Note: The paths are not waymarked or signposted.
