The exhibitions at The Castle Bude’s heritage centre are divided into themed sections. A highlight of these is the fossil collection, where you can discover the natural wonder of the Bude formation. An array of intriguing fish fossils can also be seen here.

The maritime display is equally as fascinating. Here, you can learn all about Bude’s links to the renowned Titanic.

After learning about Bude’s canal and historic railway, head upstairs to the Sir Goldsworthy Gurney exhibition. Here, a wealth of personal artefacts, paintings and inventions provide a superb insight into the figure’s life.

Another fantastic area of The Castle Bude is its interlinking galleries. Admire local artists’ work here before heading down to the neighbouring studio. This is the perfect place to get creative yourself, with regular workshops on offer.
