The Drunken Duck Inn
The Drunken Duck Inn is one of the Lake District’s trendiest and most in-demand pubs, situated on a hilltop with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area.
This former farm home is on its own around two miles from Ambleside, but you’ll need to make a reservation way in advance for dinner, and there’s usually a line out the door for lunch.
The present owners bought the Drunken Duck Inn in the 1970s, but the microbrewery was built in 1997. The brewery now supplies seasonal ale to 80 local businesses throughout the Lake District.
