Welsh Mountain Zoo
Head to this stunning zoo overlooking Colwyn Bay and with views out to the Carneddau mountains. Here you’ll find around 100 species of animals that you can catch a glimpse of up close.
Some of the largest inhabitants at Welsh Mountain Zoo are the Sumatran tiger, the snow leopard, the Eurasian brown bear, and the American alligator. These animals roam in enclosures that are carefully designed to replicate their natural habitats.
Little ones will love the Children’s Farm, home to guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, and rabbits. Set in a quiet corner of the zoo, this relaxed area gives younger visitors the chance to get up close to smaller animals in a peaceful environment.
After getting acquainted with the animals, you can visit the Penguin Café and tuck into sandwiches and paninis while you take in panoramic views across the estuary. For something a little heartier, head to the Safari Restaurant for burgers, chips, nuggets, and more family favourites!
