Those visiting the Lake District National Park with children should make a stop off at The World of Beatrix Potter attraction, located in Bowness-on-Windermere.
The family attraction brings to life Beatrix Potter’s magical stories through a recreation of the Lake District National Park. Meet the likes of Jemima Puddle-Duck, Peter Rabbit and Miss Tiggy-Winkle here, just three of Beatrix Potter’s characters. You can also explore the award-winning outdoor Peter Rabbit Garden before refuelling at the character-themed family-friendly café and splurging at the world-famous gift shop.
As well as the exhibitions, there is the opportunity to meet Peter Rabbit, enjoy tea parties and catch a show at the theatre.
