    Otherwise fully equipped kitchenette including washing machine, cooker, microwave, fridge and small freezer. TV with free view and good internet connection.

The property

This cosy area is part of the owner's attractive Grade II listed Somerset Longhouse dating back to the 17th century, in the small village of Blagdon Hill, four miles from the town of Taunton.

A traditional Somerset longhouse property provides a quiet holiday retreat and is located between the M5 and A303 making day trips to Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Exmoor, Dartmoor, Bristol, Bath and Wells a pleasure.

The property with attractive and contemporary furnishings offers an open plan living area, consisting of a small kitchenette, dining and sitting area with an electric woodburner-effect fire, with two bedrooms on the first floor.

Both bedrooms have large windows overlooking the garden.

The property has a garden with a table and chairs.

The surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides fabulous walking, pubs and a plentiful supply of interesting farm shops.

Many walks start in the village.

From Blagdon Hill there is easy access to the beautiful soft rolling landscapes of Exmoor National Park where visitors can admire the wild ponies and red deer, and the North Somerset coast which boasts pretty fishing harbours and dramatic cliffs.

Less than an hour's drive away is Dorset's south coast, the cathedral city of Exeter, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury and provides a great base for exploring the whole of the West Country.

The village of Blagdon Hill is situated on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, four miles from the Somerset county town of Taunton. Blagdon Hill offers a quintessentially English pub, and shops and a butcher’s can be found in the village of Trull, about 2 miles away. The Blackdown Hills offer numerous attractive footpaths providing many beautiful walks, and Blagdon Hill is conveniently located close to the M5. A host of attractions and places to visit are within easy reach; Bath, Bristol, Wells, Glastonbury and Exeter are less than an hour's drive away. Visits to Devon, Dorset and Cornwall together with Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks provide an ideal day out.
