Getting to Coniston by train is certainly possible: the nearest station is Windermere, just under 12 miles away. Windermere is served by direct trains from Manchester, while nearby stations Carlisle, Penrith and Oxenholme can be via London and Glasgow.

Travel to Coniston by plane
