Beaches in Wales

Discover and visit some of the best beaches in Wales by using this handy guide.

With almost 200 beaches on the South Wales coast to choose from, you will never be short of a beach in Wales to visit during your next holiday.

Enjoy the unspoilt sandy beaches Tenby has to offer, perfectly encompassing the Pembrokeshire Coast National park, the UK’s only coastal national park, offering you the perfect mix of stunning coastal and rural scenery. Further along the coastal path, the Blue Flag-awarded Barafundle Bay might be Pembrokeshire’s finest beach and could easily be mistaken for a more tropical location.

The city of Swansea has its own beach, if you prefer a busier more bustling setting, while Gower’s Langland Bay is great for families, with lifeguards manning the area during peak season. For the more adventurous, Three Cliffs Bay along the Gower Peninsula offers a fantastic clifftop setting with breath-taking views, perfect for an afternoon stroll.
