This unusual attraction rests in Edinburgh’s centre, close to Edinburgh Castle. An unforgettable day out for families, Camera Obscura and World of Illusions offer plenty to interact with.

Explore five floors filled with eccentric illusions, with the first of these being Bewilderworld. Here, you can wander through the Mirror Maze before exploring the renowned Vortex Tunnel. This is definitely a highlight of the trip; don’t forget to snap some pictures!

Eye Spy Edinburgh rests on the third floor and allows you to view 3D cityscapes of Edinburgh. Venture through the Infinity Corridor to uncover displays showcasing the building’s radical history.

More interactive exhibits await on the fourth floor, home to Light Fantastic. Take part in mind-bending illusions here, including those of Kaleido Tunnel and The Ames Room.

The Magic Gallery hosts several displays such as including plasma tubes and globes. This space rests on the fifth floor and the iconic Shadow Wall is a great photo opportunity!

Finish off your quirky outing with a visit to the roof terrace. Here, you can admire Edinburgh’s sights through the telescopes, including Princes Street and The Royal Mile.
