Canoe Tamar

There is no better way to explore the breathtaking Tamar Valley than with a river Tamar canoe safari. Daily canoe trips begin at Cotehele Quay, around 20 minutes from Plymouth, and last for around two hours with a picnic break at a riverside wild meadow.

During your trip, you’ll paddle past the woodlands of the Cotehele estate, a chapel built by Sir Richard Edgcumbe, Danescombe House and Calstock Viaduct. You’ll then pass what was once a thriving mining community and finish your trip at The Pirate Ship, a once grand boat that is now submerged in the water. With instructors on-hand to highlight points of interest, you won’t miss a thing on this fascinating trip.
