Dodd Wood

Dodd Wood is a magnificent area of woodland, located just a few miles north of Keswick. The area is popular for walkers and hikers, thanks to the abundance of waymarked trails. Many of the trails are 1 to 1.5 miles long, making them ideal for children.

There is also a steeper option, the Dodd summit trail. The trail is waymarked and a little over three miles and takes you past waterfalls and streams. You’ll also be able to catch a glimpse of Bassenthwaite Lake through the trees. At the summit, you can take in views towards Kewswick, Derwentwater, Solway Firth and the hills of Dumfries and Galloway on a clear day.

With views of the Northern Lake District, Dodd Wood is a must-visit…
