For other adventure sports, including white water rafting, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, archery, gorge walking and paintballing, these and more are on offer at the Ardverikie Estate, not far from the village. There's also an 18-hole golf course at nearby Newtonmore.
To simply explore some of the biggest and most impressive lochs in the British Isle, the quaint village of Spean Bridge is less than an hour's drive and makes a great stop off-point, as it is well located for discovering lochs Eli, Arkaig and Lochy.
Fancy a wee dram? Savour the smooth, full-bodied malt of Dalwhinnie, one of Scotland's highest distilleries and close to Laggan. And when you want a night off from cooking, both of the village's hotels serve tasty bar meals; or there's a wider choice of restaurants in Newtonmore.
Or, for even more Highland charm, head to Kingussie, a nearby town with shops, eateries, and easy access to outdoor adventures, including the Highland Wildlife Park.
