The property

An attractive period Whitby townhouse near the delightful West Cliff and famous ‘Whale bones’, which frame an impressive view of the sea, harbour, old town and Whitby Abbey. This gorgeous little cottage, arranged over three floors, benefits from an enclosed rear courtyard garden and is ideally situated for families or couples wishing to discover Whitby’s golden sandy beach, fabulous fish restaurants, Old Town and maritime heritage – all of which are a short stroll from your front door.

If you are seeking accommodation during one of Whitby’s annual events, such as its two Goth festivals, Regatta or folk week then Cobble Cottage makes an ideal choice.

Enter into a hallway that leads to a relaxing and spacious sitting room with comfortable seating and dining area.

Here you will find plenty to entertain with Flat Screen TV, DVD, Freesat and music system. Open double doors to reveal a smart and well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to make your holiday run smoothly, including a very handy utility room with washing machine and dryer and downstairs cloakroom.

The kitchen looks out over the courtyard garden. The first floor has a dramatic, tastefully decorated twin bedroom with fitted wardrobe and dressing table with comfortable, full size 3′ single beds. Also on this floor is the superb house bathroom, with bath, shower over, basin and WC – plus a lovely chrome towel rail to keep your towels cosy and warm. A further flight of stairs leads to a spacious double bedroom with beamed ceiling and traditional feel. Outside, the enclosed rear courtyard garden is a welcoming place to sit and enjoy a breath of fresh, sea air and a morning cuppa as you plan the day’s activities.

You may also wish to dine al fresco in the warmer months.

Pets are very welcome at this property. The area is well served with a wide range of convenience and specialist shops immediately on hand catering for all daily needs. Further afield the seaside towns of Scarborough and Bridlington offer fantastic beaches and traditional family entertainment, such as Peasholme Park with its boating lake and miniature railway.
