Sandown lies on the Southern coast of the Isle of Wight, perhaps best-known for its long stretch of golden sand. Situated on the beach is Sandown Pier, providing entertainment for the whole family. It is one of the top attractions in Sandown, featuring bowling, crazy golf, dodgems and an indoor play area.

The Isle of Wight Zoo cares for a variety of animals, and also educates visitors about the importance of conservation.
