To experience history and heritage while enjoying a pint and a good meal, consider the many pubs in Scotland. The Globe Inn is thought to be Dumfries’ oldest pub,  famous for its association with national treasure Robert Burns.

Follow in the footsteps of centuries of weary travellers by stopping off at The Moulin Inn near Pitlochry. Established in 1695, the inn is the perfect spot for respite. Recline in front of the stone hearth fire with a pint of Braveheart Ale and plate of hearty food.
