Almost stopped in time, Warkworth is a true gem, snuggled within a tight bend of the River Coquet atop a rocky outcrop. Whichever way you approach, the spectacular Warkworth Castle crowns the landscape for miles around.

Delightful shops, eateries, pubs and galleries line the main street; though it's hard to stop looking at that castle, ever present on the horizon.
