Just show me Baslow Cottages

When it's time to indulge, consider one of our Baslow cottages nestling at the northern edge of the Chatsworth Estate in the Peak District National Park.

Explore the attractive stone village of Baslow made up of five 'Ends' - Far, Nether, Bridge, West and Over. Discover small, chic shops and inviting eateries. Look out for the tiny tollhouse at Bridge End and St. Anne's Church on the east bank of the Derwent, with its unusual clock-face and whip used to remove dogs from services. Cross over the river into the adjoining hamlet of Bubnell. For sweeping views, head up to Baslow Edge and Wellington's Monument. Or opt for a series of walks along the Derwent Valley Heritage Trail, which runs through the village.

The allure of Chatsworth

The proximity of Chatsworth makes Baslow a very poplar spot and the village oozes atmosphere throughout the year. Simply wear comfortable footwear, aim for the narrow packhorse bridge at Nether End and then follow your nose across the meadows. Children will love the farmyard and playground, the house is exquisite and the gardens are full of surprises, with their wonderful collection of sculptures. You can picnic by the river, fine dine in the restaurant, or treat yourself to all kinds of delicious produce at their award-winning farm shop just down the road. There are lots of events too - from food fairs, floral demonstrations and vintage car pageants, to Christmas markets, open-air concerts and international horse trials.

Little wonder our Baslow cottages prove so popular.
