Those gorgeous views abound as you move through to the twin bedroom, which has been lovingly decorated in a pretty palette of coastal blues.

A luxury house bathroom, fully tiled in Travertine marble, with a bath, shower over, basin and WC complete the first floor. Upstairs, to the second floor, a comfortable master double bedroom with king-size bed awaits.

There’s an elegant dressing table and mirror, plenty of built-in storage, as well as bedside tables and lamps for those who like to read before lights out.

The views are amazing. Also on the second floor, an elegant, small double bedroom, with bedside table, dressing table and wardrobe. For added convenience, there is a stylish luxury second floor shower room, fully tiled in Travertine marble, with shower, basin and WC. One of the many joys of staying at Pecks Cottage has to be the large terrace, with stunning views over to the Abbey and harbour.

It’s quite a sun trap!

What a perfect place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or simply relax with your favourite tipple and watch the stars come out.

The quaint ‘old town’ is fascinating, with its charming array of tea rooms, jewellers selling Whitby’s finest jet, antique shops and cobbled twisting streets.

Head to the waterfront for some renowned fish and chips or a glass of bubbly in one of the lovely winebars. Young and old alike will, of course, love the golden sandy beaches of Yorkshire’s heritage coast.

When the tide is out, walk to nearby Sandsend or take a drive south along the coast to Scarborough – a much loved family resort.
