Port Isaac, famed for its Doc Martin location, has a small sandy beach with plenty of rock pools to explore at low tide.
Get your fresh fish meals at the local restaurants and then browse through the winding lanes.
For water enthusiasts, nearby Rock attracts yachtsmen, water skiers and anglers and the beautiful beach here stretches along the River Camel and around to Daymer Bay which is fringed with dunes, fabulous for a family picnic.
Visit the quaint and unspoilt village of St Kew and stop for lunch at the traditional village inn.
If golf is your passion, there is a first-class 18 hole links course at St Enodoc and for walkers and cyclists there are coastal and inland paths.
